Rico regular replacement reed.
The reeds used for the mouthpiece are tenor saxophone reeds. The Xaphoons are supplied with medium strength 2.5 Rico reeds.
As the Xaphoon has a wide mouthpiece, the medium strength means that beginners are easily able to play it.
